Bert Ormond
Robert Ormond, better known as Bert Ormond, is a former association football player who represented New Zealand at international level. Ormond played for Falkirk, Airdrie and Dumbarton in his native Scotland, before emigrating to New Zealand in 1961. Ormond made his full All Whites debut in a 4-1 win over New Caledonia on 2 June 1962 and played his second and final official FIFA A-international 2 days later, also against New Caledonia, scoring in the 4-2 win. Ormond has good football pedigree, his brother Willie Ormond represented Scotland at the 1954 FIFA World Cup as a player and the 1974 FIFA World Cup as manager, while his sons Iain Ormond and Duncan Ormond,〔("Peter Lorimer, Leeds and Scotland Hero" )〕 and granddaughter Vicki Ormond also represented New Zealand.〔(Bright Young Talent Pursues Academic Goal )〕 ==References==
